 In-Home Pet Wellness Exam

Pet Wellness Exams are essential for your pet's preventive care and long-term health. During an in-home Wellness Exam, your pet will receive a comprehensive physical examination and discuss their lifestyle, nutrition, and behavior in the comfort of their own home.
Note: Our in-home Pet Wellness Exams also include an orthopedic consultation with veterinary orthopedic manipulation (V.O.M.), as well as nutritional/fitness and behavioral consultations. Additionally, vaccinations, lab work such as fecal, urinalysis, thyroid testing, or chemistry blood workups may be bundled at an additional cost.

In-Home Puppy & Kitten Wellness Exams

Welcome your new furry addition with an exam designed just for them. Kitten and puppy checkups help ensure your pet’s first year is off to a smooth and healthy start.

Note: With certain canine breeds with a predisposition for ailments like hypothyroidism, hip dysplasia, and epilepsy, we recommend monthly orthopedic manipulations starting at age 6 months and up to 1 year of age.  This is a proactive approach to help reduce these disease states and try to make them asymptomatic, hence not allowing the reactive disease clinical signs to occur starting at age 6 months and up to 2 years of age. This will lead to longevity, reduction of pharmaceutical intervention, and betterment of overall health for these canine friends.

Palliative, Hospice Care, and Pain Management

Palliative pet care focuses on relieving discomfort associated with illness, disease, or aging. The goal is to maximize a pet's comfort rather than cure the underlying issue. Your pet may or may not be undergoing treatment for the illness while receiving palliative care. This care can be provided alongside other treatments. While palliative care focuses on pets, it also aims to support and prepare families and caretakers for the end-of-life transition.

So, when is the right time to start palliative care? Palliative care is suitable when faced with an incurable illness, and comfort care is preferred over aggressive treatments. Early intervention, once a diagnosis is made or when extra support and guidance are needed, helps ensure the best care possible.

The treatment is always specific for your pet’s situation but may include:

  • Pain Management

  • Additions to or adjustments to the current medical plan

  • Infection Control

  • Nutritional Therapy

  • Wound Care

  • Household Modification

  • Appetite Stimulation
